A polaroid a day · for the few who matter

Your day on their Home Screen. Nobody in between.

Take one photo. It goes from your iPhone to your own iCloud, and from there to the widget of the person who'd want it. No Photo Tape account, no server of ours, no audience.

NOT EVEN US

Photo Tape keeps your photos where you already keep your life. We never see them, because they never pass through anything of ours.

Your iCloud is the account

Photos, notes and albums live in your private iCloud, under your Apple Account. There's nothing to sign up for.

Only the people you choose

A day you share is readable by the people you share it with, through Apple's iCloud. Remove someone and their access ends.

No ads. No tracking.

The app has no ads, no analytics and no tracking code. It asks for no email, contacts or location.

Family, kept in the family

A family album lives in its keeper's iCloud. Plus Forever is shared with your Family Sharing group.

The fun part

Stickers that move when you do.

Tilt your iPhone and the foil runs across every holo sticker like light on a real one. Tilt a little further and the stickers slip aside, so you can see the photo they're stuck on.

Stickers come out like issues of a magazine. Each issue has one sticker that's free for everyone, and an issue you buy is yours to keep.

Never out of date. Never in the way.

The widget picks up a new print, sticker or note through the day and turns over at midnight. After six in the evening, an empty frame can wait on your Lock Screen as Last light, with the time left until midnight.

Sharing

For your person, and for your people.

Your friends' days come in as prints, in order, with nothing ranked. Start an album for the family, the trip or the book club: it sits on your shelf as a book in its own cloth, and anyone who scans its code joins.

A few seconds of video become a print on a strip of film.

Questions

Is Photo Tape private?

Yes. Your photos stay in your own iCloud, there is no Photo Tape account or server, and the app has no ads, trackers or analytics. Only people you give your link or code to can follow you.

Does my partner need Photo Tape too?

Yes. They open your invite link or scan your code, follow you, and can follow you back. Then each of you adds the widget.

Is it good for long-distance couples?

It was made for two. One photo a day is small enough to keep doing, and it waits on their Home Screen in whatever time zone they're in.

Which widgets are there?

Small, medium and large widgets for your Home Screen, showing the latest from everyone, one friend, or your own last photo. Today's frame also runs as a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.

What does it cost?

Photo Tape is free. Plus adds your own stickers and every exclusive pack, by the week, month or year, or once for good, at the App Store's price for your country (in the US, $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year).

How do I get it?

Download Photo Tape free from the App Store on your iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Updates arrive on their own. If you joined the TestFlight beta, install the App Store version instead.
