One card for your day, on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. It waits for your photo, collects what your friends stick on it, and files it away at midnight. It never buzzes.
Before the day slips by
An empty frame and the time left until midnight, with your streak beside it. One tap takes today's photo.
Then it develops
Post, and the card becomes your photo, titled by its caption. Each sticker and note your friends add is counted on it, and the latest note is its line.
And at midnight, it's filed
The day goes into your book and the card says so, then it leaves the Lock Screen. Tomorrow starts clean.

How it starts, and what you can set
From six, by default
On a day you haven't posted, Last light begins when you open the app after “Last light from” (18:00 unless you change it), tap the evening reminder, or tap the widget's button.
Your streak, on the line
If you have one going, the card says so: “12-day streak ends at midnight”. The countdown ticks on its own.
Quiet by design
No sounds, no buzzing. Friends' stickers and notes reach the card most of the time without opening the app, and always when you do.
Nothing in the middle
The app drives the card itself. There's no Photo Tape server sending it updates.
