No. 3 · For two
One new photo of your person, every single day.
Not a feed to keep up with. Just their day, taped to your Home Screen, and yours on theirs, whether they're across the room or across the world.
yours at 7:40, theirs at 21:15
Drag through a day for two
07:40
You post yours
One photo before work. It goes to your iCloud, and from there to their phone. Your Live Activity starts developing it.
07:41
It lands on their widget
No app to open. Your morning is on their Home Screen the next time they pick up their phone.
12:30
They stick a heart on it
Their sticker reaches your print, and your Live Activity counts it. Nothing buzzes.
18:00
Last light, for them
Their frame is still empty, so Last light keeps it on their Lock Screen with the hours left and the streak on the line.
21:15
They post theirs
Dinner, the two of them. It lands on your widget, and you write back with a note taped to it.
00:00
Filed away
At midnight both prints go into your book together. Thirteen days in a row now.
Long distance, small gestures
A sticker is a hug
Reactions are stickers you stick on their print. Some are holo, some move.
Tape a note
Write on the print, or tape a scrap of paper to it. The notes chip under a print shows who wrote back.
Keep the streak
Post every day and it grows. Last light reminds you before midnight takes it.

Just the two of you
Nobody else in the room.
Your days live in your two iClouds and nowhere else. There's no audience, no likes, nothing ranked. On the evenings a photo isn't enough, a few seconds of video become a print on a strip of film.
How privacy works →Questions couples ask
Does my partner need Photo Tape too?
Yes: an iPhone on iOS 17 or later, signed in to iCloud. That's the whole account.
Is it good for long-distance couples?
It was made for exactly that: one small, real picture of their day, without a call to schedule or a feed to scroll.
What if one of us forgets a day?
Last light shows the empty frame and the time left on the Lock Screen in the evening. If midnight comes first, the streak starts again.
Can we add the rest of the family later?
Yes. Start an album, and anyone who scans its code joins it.
